Manny: Margarito in, Mayweather is out

The much anticipated match between Manny Pacquiao vs Floyd Mayweather Jr. in November 2010 ended after Top Rank Promoter bob Arum confirmed that Pacquiao will face Antonio Margarito of Mexico on November 13, 2010.

Arum has said to Yahoo! Sports that he choose Antonio Margarito rather than Miguel Angel Cotto because it is much challenging fight compared to Cotto which was TKO’d in 12rounds by Manny Pacquiao.
For the 8th title Pacquiao will face Margarito for WBC World Boxing Council Junior Middle Weight Championship in Las Vegas or Dallas Cowboys Stadium.

Antonio Margarito was suspended last year by California State Athletic Commission because he was caught with a plaster-like substance in his hand wraps prior to his fight against Shane Mosley last January 2009.

Manny Pacquiao of the Philippines is very willing to fight Antonio Margarito of Mexico despite of opponents (Margarito) height advantage.

Antonio Margarito 5’11” and has also a reach advantage 6inch over Manny Pacquiao 5’6”.
